A competent test taker.

I took the GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) in Eddy hall, located on the East Bank part of campus at the U of M, yesterday which lasted about four hours. After playing countless six hour chess games, the length of the test did not seem horrendous, however, I haven't had to concentrate for more three hours on a single test throughout my undergraduate career.
That being said, the verbal part was a nightmare: I had no idea that there were going to be so many vocabulary words I had never seen before...... oh well. The quantitative part was filled with questions containing numerous pitfalls, fortunately, as a math major, these traps are a little more lucid. In the end, it was a boring Monday afternoon, but a necessary evil.

If I were to actually prepare for the exam, I would have stumbled across this blog containing hundreds of frequent GRE vocabulary words.
Here is the link
I highly recommend saving an inordinate amount of time for memorizing obscure vocabulary words that are the antithesis of colloquial if you are aiming to attain a remarkable verbal score (somewhere around 700 or higher).
Good Luck to anyone planning on taking the GRE!
